Stinky Filthy Feet ~ By Eudora

REMEMBER, what is was like when you brought home you’re first puppy?

They smell so sweet and they look so cute when we first get them. They are so very adorable and then a few days later, reality sinks in. In a few days you realize that your feelings have changed about the new puppy.

The facts are though that in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer and in dryness and in wetness we took in the puppy. She chews on everything she can sink her teeth into but do I throw her out or throw her away? No, I can’t.. WHY? Because I love her. We are stuck with her.

No matter how much we want to throw certain people out of our lives, cast them aside because they disappoint us, we can’t. That isn’t what Jesus would do.

Praying for them does help, but truthfully I have seen greater changes happen when I pray for how I feel about certain people that disappoint me. The right intentions in our hearts are there and our motives are true. I believe it is how we see people that makes a difference in how we react to people. Not how people really are because we know we can’t change people, only God can do that great feat! But we can change how we SEE people. Especially if we look at them how Jesus looks at us.

No matter what we do or what we intend to do or what we even choose to do, somewhere down the road in our lives, we will do something that we might think will disappoint God.. NOT TRUE!

He loves us no matter what.. NO MATTER WHAT! Why? Because He sees us through and through. Remember when Jesus washed the feet of all His disciples? He even washed the feet of Judas who would betray Him before that very night was over. He washed the feet of Peter, knowing good and well that Peter would deny Him three times. Wow, how awesome is that? He knew full well their intentions in their future and he still washed their filthy betraying, denying feet. WHY? Because He loved them through and through..

I love you and Jesus loves you and No Matter What, there are people who will disappoint us. But to become like Jesus, we must be like Jesus in all respects and that includes, loving people from the top of their heads to the bottom of their stinky filthy feet, just like Jesus.
