The Pursuit of Happiness ~ By Eudora

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Sound familiar?

So what is being threatened right now at such a time as this? Our personal ‘lives’ and our personal and national ‘liberty’ and the pursuit of happiness are all being threatened. Families are falling apart, divorce has become the norm. The very fabric of our lives is coming unraveled. Our liberties are slowly being taken away from us, all in the name of progression towards being politically correct. Who can even pursue happiness in times like this?

Americans are blessed to have a “government of the people, by the people, and for the people.” But the people appear to have been lulled to sleep. There is an old proverb that says that a lazy person sleeps soundly- and goes hungry. What is happening?

Our nation and it’s land are in desperate need of healing. The blind are leading the blind in our nations capital. Our nation is more in debt in this last year, more than at any time in it’s past. There is a link below where you can actually go on line and see how the U.S. National Debt Clock is spinning out of control.

Where is the light in the darkness? Are we willing to be lulled to sleep and wake up to find we are in bondage?

We need to rebuild the walls of justice, speak life into families and this nation but more than anything, we have a promise from the scriptures and it is this:

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. “

I guarantee this scripture is not speaking to your average Joe on the street nor is it speaking to those who do not even know Yahushua or the power of prayer. This scripture is speaking to “My people, who are called by My name” . These are the people who call upon by Yahwey, The Elohim of all creation. Yahwey appeared to Solomon in a dream when He spoke these words to him.

Solomon had prayed and asked God to make provisions for the people when they sinned. Yahwry appeared to Solomon that very night and said, “I accept your prayer; yes, I have chosen this place as a temple for sacrifice, a house of worship. If I ever shut off the supply of rain from the skies or order the locusts to eat the crops or send a plague on My people, and My people, My Elohim-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking My presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health..

I believe we are called now as a people, just like the people were called then, to humble ourselves, get down on our hands and knees and cry out to the God of Israel, seek His face to shine back on this land that was once known as the land of the free and turn from our wicked ways, not only as a people but as a nation too; and repent.

Yahwey answered Solomon with the four conditions of forgiveness.

# 1. To humble themselves by admitting their sin.

# 2. Pray to Elohim, asking for forgiveness.

# 3. Seek Elohim continually and

# 4. turn from sinful behavior. Whether we sin individually, as a group, or as a nation, following these steps, these guidelines that Yahwey issued, these steps will lead to forgiveness and Yahwey will answer our earnest prayers.
