LESSON FOUR OF ELEVEN : Where Is Jesus Now and What Is He Doing? PART A

Let’s take a step higher. Where is Jesus at now and what is He doing?

In order to know exactly what happen to Jesus we would have to search the scriptures.

Let’s look in this verse: Mark 16:19

When Jesus ascended into heaven, His physical presence left the disciples. Jesus, sitting at the right hand of God signifies the completion of His work for His earthly ministry, His authority as the Son of God, His preparation for His coronation as King when He returns to set up His Kingdom, a work which He had already started here on Earth before He left.

Let’s look at a few more verses: Luke 22:69

So from now, Jesus Christ, The Son of Man, has taken His place at the right hand of God, the place of power.

Acts 5:31

So now we see that God has set Jesus Christ, high at His side, in a place of honor as Prince (of peace) and Savior, so that the people of Israel would repent of their sins, be forgiven and have changed lives.

Acts 7:55

This is a story (Chapter 7) about a fella named Steven who had given his life to follow Jesus and to obey all of His commands. Steven was persecuted for his belief. Steven had been arrested for his belief and was taken before the High Council, the teachers of ‘religious’ law. (Not the law of God that was handed down to Moses)

Steven had a passion for what he believed and he had accused the stubborn people that they were hard of hearing the truth and their hearts had turned cold. (This all happened to Steven after Jesus had been crucified.) Steven stood before this council and shared his belief with them and the Jewish leaders were infuriated by Stephen’s accusations. When they were yelling back at Stephen, because Stephen was filled with the spirit of God, he looked up towards the heavens and saw the glory of God, and he saw Jesus standing in the place of honor at God’s right hand. He told them about the vision he was seeing right then and they got even more angry. They were filled with their own religious belief and theirs didn’t agree with the truth of what Stephen knew about because they were not filled with the Spirit of Truth, which is one of the names of the Holy Spirit, The Spirit of The Lord or The SPirit of Truth.

They couldn’t stand what they were hearing and put their hands over their ears, and started shouting to drowned out his voice. They rushed at him and then drug him out of town and threw stones at him, until he died. But what Stephen said was very important to this lesson.

Stephen was an eye witness to Jesus in heaven, before he died. People may not kill us for witnessing about Christ, but they may let us know they don’t want to hear the truth and try to silence us.

Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

This scripture needs a bit of understanding. The question is asked: Who is he that condemneth? It isn’t God nor was it Jesus that condemned people. Jesus died on the cross and when His intent was to set mankind free from condemnation. It is satan who condemns us. Jesus died and is at the right hand of the Father and now He makes intersession for us.

What is intersession? The time between two academic sessions or semesters, according to dictionary.com. When Jesus died and rose again and is now sitting at the right hand of God in the place of power, that would be session one. The next session is when He returns to the earth to rule and reign in power of the earth that He is King of. So in the mean time, Jesus is making intersession.

What do you suppose He is doing now?

Jesus is pleading for us in heaven. God has acquitted us and has removed our sin and guilt, so it is satan… not God and not Jesus, who is the condemning one. Jesus has presented His case on the cross. He died for the sin of all mankind. Jesus is our advocate. As humanity’s representative, Jesus intercedes for us before God. As God’s representative, Jesus assures us of God’s forgiveness.

Do you ever think that because you are not good enough for God, He will not save you from the wages of sin? Do you ever feel as if salvation is for everyone else but you? If so then this next verse was meant for you because it is not God who has been lying to you. God can not lie.

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?

God doesn’t lie, He doesn’t have to repent and God has done, and will continue to do, every thing He has said that He would do.

He is the same today as He was yesterday and He will be the same God tomorrow.
Hebrews 13:8

Let’s look at another verse: 1st Peter 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

So here we read where all the angels are bowing before Christ, The name Jesus Christ is not His first and last name. Jesus, a Greek form of the Hebrew name Joshua, was a common name meaning “The Lord Saves” and Christ means: The Anointed One. All the angels, all the authorities and all the powers, bow to Him. Do you know who else bows to Him? I call Him Yahushua because that is His name. The spelling varies among folks, and that is ok. When we hear Him referred to as Yahushua Ha Mashiach they are referring to Jesus the Christ

Satan, the accuser of the brethren also has many names, but His given name was Lucifer.

The one who lies to you when you haven’t done anything wrong or tries to talk you into doing something that is wrong. You know that you shouldn’t, but temptation is strong. It is when you obey that temptation, that you, (believe it or not) are bowing down to satan. The very same one who has come to kill and destroy you.

Lets look at scripture to see and prove that even satan bows down to God. Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

“Where have you come from?” the Lord asked Satan.

Satan answered the Lord, “I have been patrolling the earth, watching everything that’s going on.”

So here we read where satan goes before God, moving in and out of two different places, between the heaven and the earth to appear before God. God created satan and therefore He must bow down to His creator. What we need to keep in the back of our minds is that Job is an upright man and one who fears God, has awe and reverence of God. So even folks who live for Jesus, are still tempted by satan, but what I like to think is that God trust’s us well enough to allow this to go on, knowing that He has given us our own will, to choose to serve Him, and the weapons that we need for our warfare lest we fall down and worship satan.

Before satan can tempt is, he must ask permission of God. Let’s find that written in the Word of God.

Job 1:1-12

Isn’t that something? The liar has to go before God, before he is able to come to tempt us. What is really cool is that God will never allow us to go through anything that is to strong and that we can not handle with the Holy Spirit as our guide, consoler and helper.

1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation, also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

There is always an escape from every single temptation.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41

Do you know that the Bible says that some day, every knee will bow down to God and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord?

Romans 14:11-12 & Philippians 2:11

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

At the Last Judgment, even those who are condemned will recognize Jesus’ authority and His right to rule. People can choose now to commit their lives to Jesus as Lord or be forced to acknowledge Him as Lord when He returns. Christ may return at any moment. Are we ready to meet Him? Are we prepared to give Him an account of what we have and haven’t done yet?

Now we know what Jesus is doing. He is waiting on us to join together in unity and in a unilateral belief of the truth because His Word and His truth must be spread to all the world before He can come back to rule and to reign.

The world right now is scattered off into their own religions and their own beliefs, but before Jesus returns , He said that He would pour out His Spirit upon all flesh. More and more people are turning to Jesus and gaining healing and deliverance, through the Word of God and going back to the basics, to the roots of true faith. God has declared the end from the beginning.

Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

During the next few years we will see more and more of this as the age of technology increases.

It has already begun, it isn’t just in the news that is common to man. The major news reporters are NBC, CNN, ABC, CBS. They are not yet reporting this news but they will begin soon. The reason they will be reporting this news is because this news will be hard to hide and hard to keep quiet. The channels that are Christian on our televisions are showing this happening all over the world now in great big numbers and soon, here in America, we will see these events reported on the national news

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: Acts 2:17 KJV

Are you ready to hit the waves? It is a very good chance that people will refer to this as a cult like situation. This will be so wide spread that there will be people who make fun of what is happening, until it happens to them.

We will just have to keep our ears open and watch and pray! This is what God is sending to the earth. Are we ready? God wants to give His children good gifts. The Holy Spirit is the best gift that He can give us, because it is the Holy Spirit who will lead us through the last days.

Jesus has always been ready. He is just waiting for us to be ready and available to move when He says to move. To go here when He says to go here. He wants us to share this truth with everyone so that no one will be able to say that “they didn’t know”

God’s gift to us is eternal life. Our gift to Him is what we do with His gift to us.
