The Sons of God

The first point of our securuty is that the Spirit is God’s Spirit. His spirit moved over the face of the waters on the first day of creation.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. ~ Genesis 1:2

The Spirit of Truth  is the One who inspired the Prophets. Why do I say Spirit of Truth?

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: ~ John 15:26

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. ~ John 14:17

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. ~ John 16:13

We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. ~ 1 John 4:6

¶ This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. ~1st John 5:6

The Spirit of Truth is coequal with Yahwey God of Israel and Yahushua the Son, Jesus

Our security is built on our being adopted as God’s sons.  We come into the family of God by way of deep intimacy, like children who lovingly call their father Abba ‘Daddy’ – which is what Abba really means.

And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. ~ Mark 14:36

Moreover, the relationship to the Father is a personal one and a legal one as well. When we become His, He fills us with His Spirit and we become joint-heirs with the Messiah, our brother.

That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: ~ Ephesians 3:6

¶ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. ~ Romans 8:17

This adoption for God’s sons is only for those who are led by the Spirit. that is only for those who have put their complete trust in Yahushua the Son of God.

It is He who sends the Spirit.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. ~ John 14:26

Those who do not have Yahushua do not have the Father either.

Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. ~ 1 John 2:23

However, in the case of believers, the Spirit of God Himself bears witness with our own spirits that we are children of God.  The adoption process will become complete when “our whole bodies are redeemed and set free”

And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. ~ Romans 8:23

There are other verses on adoption.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. ~ John 1:12

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. ~ Galatians  4:4-5

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. ~ Ephesians 1:5-6

Adoption is an aspect along with reconciliation of being restored to God’s favor from our former condition as His enemies.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. ~ Romans 5:10

Are you ready to be filled with the Spirit of Truth?

First you have to answer this question.  Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Jesus is knocking.

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

~ Revelation 3:20

Do not say,  “Who is it?”  Answer the door by saying,  “Come in Jesus”.

If you cannot believe, ask Jesus to heal you of your un-belief.

Ask Jesus to please fill you with The Spirit of Truth.  Keep asking until you know beyond any doubt that He has filled you with His Spirit.  You will know.  He will fill you in the only way that He knows that you will recognize Him.
