Mizbeach is the Hebrew word for altar.
When the Hebrew word mizbeach is most generally translated into the single English word , it is translated into the word altar. Mizbeach is a four-letter word;
MemZayinBeitChet from the three-letter root word, zabach, and meaning to sacrifice or offer. Zebach is composed of the three letters Zayin (z), Beit (b), and Chet (x).
Mem typifies the Messiah. There are two ‘mems’, one is open and one is closed, representing testing, concealed and revealed. Also fountain of water. Yahushua was concealed in His mothers womb and then revealed to the world.
Jeremiah 17:13 O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.
Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Beit means purpose, God’s purpose or house.
Isaiah 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
This has not happened yet so we know that this is still a prophetic word in our future.
1st Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? KJV
~ Notice: Peter does not say gospel of Jesus.
The Chet, has been called ‘The Life Dynamic‘ and is said to mean to live and to give life and thanksgiving. It also represents new beginnings (8 like the eighth day) because of the numerical value of the letter. It also means resurrection, hoopa, which means covering.
It was a new beginning in the land when Solomon dedicated the temple that he had built.
2nd Chronicles 7:1 ¶ When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the temple.
2nd Chronicles 7:7-9 Furthermore Solomon consecrated the middle of the court that was in front of the house of the LORD; for there he offered burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, the grain offerings, and the fat. At that time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly from the entrance of Hamath to the Brook of Egypt. And on the eighth day they held a sacred assembly, for they observed the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.
These letters are all in the word Mizbeach; altar.
Through the history of the world, we find our patriarchs having built altars before the Lord. The children of Adam offered their gifts on altars. One was accepted and one was not. The struggle was about their presentation before Yah. There was already a battle of good and evil over the altar. It began in the garden, East of Eden.
What is the struggle right now over all the earth? The struggle is and has always been between good and evil. What is the argument about the land of Israel? Jerusalem, God’s house.
I believe that the adversary is trying so hard to destroy the altar of the Lord and is trying to use humans to destroy Israel in order to work out his plan. However, The altar in Jerusalem is for Yah who is the crowned man, the perfection; the groom Who is going to bring forth a sword to protect His bride and will re-establish His house to usher in a new beginning.
Now you may understand why Ha satan is trying so hard to destroy the altar because Jerusalem represents the altar and he is trying to destroy the Jews, the Israelites, the Torah, the customs (feast’s) and the Sabbath. Every thing that Yah instituted to show us how to walk and how to seek His righteousness and how to live with-in His kingdom is what Ha satan has already been working hard to destroy.
The Sabbath is a sign that you belong to Him. The feasts are a sign that you are meeting with Him and having intimacy. The Torah exemplifies the heart of Yah, so when you take away the heart of Yah, the ownership of Yah and the identity of the people of Yah, what do you have? Chaos and desolation.
The great tribulation will begin when the altar is defiled. Why? Prophetically, the day that the altar is rededicated in Jerusalem, the whole world will know that the ownership of the world is going back to Yahwey. The world will go into chaos and desolation because people do not want to have that authority over their lives and they will go and wage war against Israel. The people for the most part have lived their lives according to what man has taught them, that they are no longer under the law but under grace alone and refuse to see it any other way until the Spirit of Yah reveals it to them. However, when they think it is Israel that they are up against; in reality it will be against Yahwey Sabaoth, the Lord of Hosts.
When people and nations think they are going to wage war against the people who are performing the sacrifices and the temple service, they will not realize that when that altar is re-dedicated, it will be dedicated to Yahweh and not to the people. Once it is profaned, the people who do so are no longer taking issue with Israel or the people. They will have awakened Yahweh’s wrath. He will bring a sword because His crown will have been taken away.
The altar will one day be restored in Israel. People will speak against it, and judgment will come upon those who do. We need to let the people know so that when that altar is restored, the altar will have a two-fold purpose. It will allow Israel to teshuvah (repent) and seek atonement by blood because they do not believe in Yahushua’s sacrifice for their atonement. However, it will also be a sign for us, of how many days are left unto the coming of Yahushua.
Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
Prophetically it is for those who have walked away, to come back and restore reconciliation, to repair the breech between them and Yah. They can bring an offering and prepare for Lord Yahushua, Messiah to come. The land needs to be purified. The Mizbeach represents Yahushua, our Messiah, and the promise of our redemption.
