Today’s Priesthood Requirements

First Requirement:

1st Peter 1:17-21 ~ And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:  Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,  Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

We must be saved and cleansed by the blood of Yahushua Ha Mashiach / Jesus Christ.

When we call out to God, He hears our cry for help and He helps us.  Our life is a journey that we each must travel with a deep consciousness of God.  We were once facing an empty path headed on the road to destruction.  Yahushua gave His sacred blood because He is in effect an un-blemished sacrificial Lamb of God who took our place. Moreover, this was no afterthought. Even though it has only lately—at the end of the ages—become public knowledge, God always knew He was going to do this for us. It’s because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that we trust God, that we know we have a future in God. Peter said here that it was a worthless way of life that the ancestors passed on.

The prophet Isaiah said that we would be redeemed without money. Isaiah 52:3 For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.  The ransom that Yahushua paid was not anything perishable like silver or gold.

Moreover, our relationship with Him does in no way imply that we will escape judgment.  However, it does say here that without respect to persons we will be judged according to our own work and that God does not show favoritism.

Yahushua was the Lamb of God that was offered on our behalf to atone for our sin.  In the past He died, arose, and now has shown us that in the present, we have a promise of eternal life.  God knew Yahushua before the founding of the universe, but in the last days, revealed Him just so that we might have a way of being reconciled unto God.   We must come to Him believing that He is the rewarder of those who search for Him with all our heart.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Revelation 1:5-6 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Yahushua is faithful.  He is the first begotten among men.  He is the ruler of the kings of the earth. He loves us and gave His life at the cost of His own blood so that we might be a kingdom of priests, a community subject to God our Father, for His glory.  Our hope and our faith is in God because of what Yahushua has done and the promise that God will raise us up, just like He has done with His first begotten Son, Yahushua.

Second Requirement:

1st Peter 1:22-23 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

We must be born again by the incorruptible seed of the WORD of GOD and to be sealed by the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 1:12-14 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,  Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

We are washed clean by the WORD of GOD.  We begin the purification process by following the truth of His word and walking in obedience to that truth.  However, it is God Himself by the power of His Spirit that reveals His word to us.  We are to love one another as if our lives depended on it because it does. Our new life is nothing like our old life.  Our old birth came from mortal sperm; our new birth comes from God’s living Word. Just think: a life conceived by God himself. Imagine that!  We are regenerated through the living word of God that lasts forever.

The Torah leads us directly to Yahushua.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

The goal at which the Torah aims is acknowledging and trusting in the Messiah.  We can see that the righteousness, which the Torah offers, is offered through Him and only through Him.  Yahushua makes this same offer to everyone who trusts. He is the end of the Law for righteousness because there is no other way for the believer to learn righteousness.

It is in Yahushua Ha Mashiach that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, He had His eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose He is working out in everything and everyone.

It’s in Christ that we, once we heard the truth and believed it (this Message of our salvation), found ourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on what is coming, a reminder that we will get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life.

The Holy Spirit is our seal or perhaps a better word: our marking of ownership that we in fact belong to God.  The guarantee of our inheritance is the Holy Spirit, Himself.  The Greek word for guarantee can also be used to indicate an engagement ring As Christ is the Bridegroom and the church is the bride, so is the Holy Spirit like a down payment or dowry, the earnest gift given in the long awaited marriage of the two.  We are the purchased possession, a special treasure unto the praise and glory of Yahwey, our Father.

Only those who are reconciled, made alive, and anointed- may worship God by the Spirit of God.

Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

The real believers are the ones the Spirit of God leads to work in His ministry, filling the air with Christ’s praise as we do it. We could not carry this off by our own efforts.  It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we have circumcised hearts and ears so that when we hear what the Living Word is saying to us, we internalize what we hear letting it sink way down deep with-in our souls and we walk in obedience to what we hear.  Circumcision is a matter of the heart and not the flesh.

We worship God in the Spirit.

We rejoice in Yahushua Ha Mashiach / Jesus Christ

We place our confidence only in God.

We, who worship God, make our boast in Messiah Yahushua, not in our human qualifications.  It is by these few requirements that we are made kings and priest as unto God and his Father; to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

These words spoken by the angel were first spoken in Torah: Exodus 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words, which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

The promise has not changed. We, who are graft into the family of God, will be unto God a kingdom of priest’s and a holy nation and we shall reign with Him on earth.  We were always meant to serve a Holy God.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

The first resurrection is the coming to life of God’s holy people, as described in verse 4 and 6 of Revelation chapter 20. The second resurrection is not mentioned as such; it is written that the rest of the dead did not come to life until a thousand years were over at which time they are alive only long enough to experience the second death, which has no power over the believers.

The folks in the first resurrection will be priests of God and of the Messiah.  You {believers in Yahushua} the people of Israel shall be for Me {Yahwey, God of Israel} a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.

This is a promise that we can count on and hold firm too.
