Part One:  Genesis 1:1 ¶ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Proverbs 3:19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

Ps 85:11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

It was the wisdom of God that He should create the heaven and earth. We read the beauty of creations story in Psalm 104. Ps 104:5-9 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains. At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away. They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them. Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.

We can see clearly that it was His voice that got busy doing what He commanded it to do. God spoke and it was done. He has declared the end from the beginning.

The psalmist says that creation speaks in every language and in every corner of the world. What can anyone in the world know about God through creation? (Chapter 19)

God’s creation shows and declares His glory with incredible balance and order.  Not everyone on the planet will see the mountains, the oceans or a long cascading waterfall or know the simple life of living in the country, but all will see the heavens that declare the glory of God.

The heavens not only speak forth God’s praises, they also reveal knowledge of God to man. (Vs. 2)  Not only that but in every language speaking to all people in every corner of the globe. (Vs. 3-4)  Isn’t that just amazing that His creation transcends every language?  There is no speech or language where His ‘voice’ is not heard, so we can even hear His voice in the heavens.

Isaiah 40:12 ¶ Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

Jeremiah 51:15 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding.

Genesis 1:3 ¶ And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Now this is a verse I spent four hours on one day.  Did you know that the two lights that God put upon the earth was the sun by day and the moon by night?  God divided the light from the dark; He called the light to come out of the darkness. He separated the light from the darkness.  God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. Therefore, the light that we see when there is no sun shining is not just the sun.  The light is Jesus.  Jesus is the light of the world. John 1:1-2 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.

For me the sun is one thing in our line of vision that we can only partially see with the naked eye.  We see the clouds ok and how they swirl but the sun is so bright that we really can look at it for very long.  I think that the sun is kind of like the universal word Hallelujah.  Every known language sees the sun and even though they might not see His glory, they see what this thing does and how it sustains life.  If God were to displace the sun, we would all die in just a little over five months.

Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

God always intended that the earth that He created would inhabit humankind.  This I think is why He created it with such beauty and color.  Black and white would have sufficed for Him because He sees all as being good.  He could have created it in black and white but He did not.

PART TWO: 2 Peter 3:5-7 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Modern groups of scoffers are what we now call scientist; or the system of scientology.  According to science, the laws of nature are given and fixed.  They think that God cannot or maybe will not interfere with what He has created because for the most part they do not believe that He created all that we see. According to the Bible, the laws of science are not forever fixed but are a current description of how God runs the universe.   Just because scientist can find a pattern, does not mean that God might decide to change that pattern.

The part that Peter says about the earth standing out of the water and in the water: When God said, “Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so“, I like to think that the dry land was hidden in Christ.  The land arose out of the water according to the scriptures. (the earth standing out of the water and in the water)  Peter says that people do not overlook the fact but they willfully forget not that it was by means of these things, (by the word of God) but it was through these evil ones, the people who lived before the flood, that the world of that time was destroyed.  People cannot face the fact that God can speak and something can begin a new life.  This Peter says is what man is willingly ignorant of.  This was why I got so all excited the day that I studied the day, that light came out of the darkness. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2Co 4:6

We must not ever forget this either:  Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. IN ADDITION, Ps 18:11 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.

When everything becomes to dark for us, in the literal or the spiritual both, God is there.  There is no darkness in Him, but He is in the darkness. If it were not for these two scriptures, I would have never found my way to Him.

Peter is saying here that scoffers are going to say that Jesus is not coming and that there was no such flood. We hear that all the time.  Everything goes on just as it has since the beginning of creation. But as the Psalmist also said, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” It was by God’s Word,  (Yahushua) the present heavens and earth, having been preserved are being kept. The reason scoffers say that there is no such thing and that there is no Jesus is because if they admitted that He is real, that would require a response, not to mention they would have to admit that they are going to find themselves in the judgment seat upon His return.  I guess they find it easier not to believe because believing makes their future a bit more challenging to face the fact that He is real.

Jeremiah 4:23-26 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.

This is a vision that Jeremiah saw, I believe yet to be in the future. There will be a period of darkness, I believe similar to the thick darkness that the Egyptians saw as one of the plagues.  I am working on a study that I will soon have prepared regarding the comparisons because God declared the end from the beginning.

All things that the New Testament was written on were based on the foundations of the Torah and the Tanakh, so in order to understand the new, we must understand the old. Paul said that the stories of the Torah were written FOR the benefit of the generation upon whom the end of the ages had come! If this is true and we know that it is, since we are the ones who are living in the last day’s based on the signs that Jesus gave throughout His ministry, it would seem to me that this generation would be studying the Torah like crazy to learn exactly what Paul meant.  This is something I was looking into just last night and will have that study ready in a few days as well.  I may even decided to combine them, in which case if I do, they will likely be another week before I can post them in my blog.

If you are looking for the possibility that something happened between verse one and verse two, I have no doubt what so ever that something happened. The enemy had to gain access to the garden somehow.  The only time that Adam was not on guard was when he was asleep, but I do not think that God would have allowed the dragon, that old serpent to take advantage of the garden while God was in the middle of creating woman. He had to have been tossed to the earth to roam back and forth between heaven and earth, after God created it.  I personally believe that this is why the earth was void and without form and in such chaos.

I have said this before, and will have to say it again.  I am sure that there are rules to writing a mini-novel per day but unfortunately, I do not know what they are… ~ Eudora
