Yahwey is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Many folks make the mistake of thinking that the teachings written in Torah are done away with and replaced by worshiping Yahwey ’ in spirit and in truth’. However, the literal rendering of this is spiritually and truly. Nevertheless, spiritual and true worship is not to be set along side of or even compared with the Torah. Rather, true, spiritual worship is Yahwey’s universal standard, which He also commands in the Torah itself.
Many folks also think that the words written in Torah were somehow words that could be lived by then and that they never really entered the heart or were even supposed too until the gift of the Holy Spirit was given on the day of Pentecost. This would be in correct thinking as well.
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: ~ Deuteronomy 6:6
The words of Torah were always meant to be in our hearts. Not only that but we are to love Yahwey with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our might and we were supposed to teach the words of Torah diligently unto our children, and to talk of them when we sat down in our homes and when we walked in the way of these teachings and when we went to bed at night. When we awakened in the morning, we were to begin teaching them all over again at the start of each day.
If this isn’t clear enough we were to consistently be teaching Torah to our children night and day, day and night, binding it for a sign upon our hand. These teachings were to be in the forefront of our eyes, written on the post of our home and on our gates.
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. There is freedom to function with-in the framework of Torah without being enslaved by it. We can believe in it with our faces un-veiled, with open hearts, not stone like and unclouded. Through the teachings of Torah, we can see as a mirror the glory of Yahwey and we can learn His righteousness. Yet, it is all by the Spirit of Truth that brings conviction unto that righteousness.
So you see, Yahwey’s covenant people have always been expected to know Yahwey and to carry forward His purposes. Yahwey has made this knowledge available in lots of ways and it will eventually be complete, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Even though it is not yet, some of us know partly, then we will know fully, just as Yahwey has fully known us.
Finally, under the renewed and better Covenant, Yahwey forgives and forgets people’s sins. According to the scriptures, forgiveness of sins is the main issue of human history. It arises at the beginning in the book of Genesis 2:17 and is not fully resolved until Revelation 20:15.
It is the intent has not changed, in that Yahwey uses the law to carry out faithfully His original covenantal purposes, the promise that He made earlier to the Jewish people, whose family we are graft into and not the other way around. The only difference is that the body of Christ enjoys the blessings now because we are led by the Spirit of Yahwey, who works with in our hearts and minds, reminding us to cleave only unto the Lord and to do His good will and not be a people who practice lawlessness. Of course, we can only practice the doing of law by the power of the Holy Spirit who leads us unto everlasting life.
It was Yahushua Himself that declared: “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
Yahushua did just that. He preached good tidings to the meek. He did bind up the brokenhearted. He proclaimed liberty to the captives and He opened up the prisons to them that were bound. Yahwey was indeed well pleased for His righteousness’ sake because Yahushua did in fact magnify the law, and make it honourable as was prophesied by Isaiah.
Yahwey is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Seek His kingdom and His righteousness. This is where you will find His perfect peace that surpasses all understanding and you will walk in a freedom that is abundant above all that you could ever hope or think.
We CAN NOT place our trust in the spirit of man. It is vital that we place all of our trust in the Spirit of Truth. It is the truth…. That makes us free.
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
