Why I Do Not Believe in the Pre Tribulation Rapture or Mid Tribulation Rapture

Resurrection 4 I could just begin this writing by saying that the reason I do not believe in a pre -tribulation or a mid -tribulation rapture is because the Bible simply doesn’t teach it and that should be the end of it.  However, too many people are deceived and have been taught that there is so they do not believe that there isn’t such a thing and many have just put themselves in harm’s way by believing in this false doctrine.  Unfortunately the folks who have taught them have used the Bible to teach this falseness and how equally unfortunate it is that folks believe the teaching so much that they won’t even bother to read this or check it out for themselves.  They will just go along life blinded by the lie that they have been taught and waiting to escape reality, when Yahushua Himself gave us so many warnings about the signs of impending tribulation that ‘might’ appear to be already knocking at our door..

Think about it,  why would Yahushua give us all of the warnings of what is coming and share with us how we do not  need to not fear it, and how we will get through the tribulation of those days if we were going to somehow escape? Sure, “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”  ~ Luke 21:36

But don’t just pray for yourself,

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” ~ Ephesians 6:13-18

Many Christians truly believe that they will be removed from this earth before the great tribulation takes place. This doctrine, known as the pre-tribulation rapture, teaches that our Messiah may return at any moment, and that there will be no signs of His coming. Wait a minute, what about all the warning signs in Matthew chapter 24? In this chapter Yahushua gave many signs to look for that would occur before the tribulation and then later on down in verse 29 and 30, He tells His disciples that He won’t even be returning until immediately ‘AFTER THE TRIBULATION’ of those days.

Look it up for yourself.  It really is written.

As a result of this deception, most Christians are completely unprepared for what the Bible has warned us is coming and are falling for the trap that satan has slowly been setting up since the beginning of time in preparation for the Antichrist.  When folks finally figure out that they have been deceived, that they, the very elect have been fooled because they were not ‘wise’ enough to check it out for themselves, what do you think is going to happen? Think about this too.  Yahushua wouldn’t teach us to persevere, overcome and to stand if there were not going to be tribulation in our future.

To believe in the pre-trib or the mid trib rapture is placing our faith of resurrection in the hands of the enemy.  No wonder there is going to be a falling away first.  Why do I say this? Most people have already fallen away from believing that they will be resurrected on the last day;  to a theory that they will be raptured out prior to the tribulation when the text tells us otherwise.

Paul asked the folks at Corinth in his letter the following question. “ Now if Christ be preached that He rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?”  [1st Corinthians 15:12]

This is a really good question that each of us must also answer for ourselves. Paul said it himself in the very next verse, if there isn’t a resurrection of the ‘dead’ then neither has Messiah been resurrected. Then Paul goes on to say that if Messiah has not been raised then our proclamation is worthless and so is our faith. If we are off believing in a lie that we will somehow be whisked away to some safe place [that is never even mentioned] because we are so special, then ask yourself this one question:  What was the whole point of Yahushua being resurrected from the grave? Just answer this one question in your own mind because it will give you pause to consider something you may have overlooked.

Proverbs 14:8 says this:  The wisdom of the prudent is to understand His way: but the folly of fools is deceit.  To be prudent means to be ‘wise’ to understand God’s way, not man’s way.  Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans saying, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus (Yahushua) from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you. [Romans 8:11]

Paul even said in his first letter to the folks at Corinth [Chapter 15, verse 15] that we are found false witnesses of God because we taught that Christ was raised from the dead, but we didn’t believe it for ourselves. I completely understand it because if we are all waiting to be ‘raptured out’ before the tribulation of those days and he isn’t even coming until ‘AFTER’ the tribulation of those days, we are essentially not believing that we will one day be resurrected from the dead,  just as Yahushua was resurrected from the dead. Paul is right; we are found false witnesses of Yahwey. We believe in the resurrection of the dead for Yahushua but not for ourselves.

WHY?   That is an easy enough question to answer.  We are mortals and we do not want to face the fact that we must die if we intend to enter the kingdom of Yahwey. Yahushua became the first fruits of them that slept.  Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sara, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and the rest of all those folks will not know the perfection of eternal life until we are all gathered together. Read it for yourself in the book of Hebrews at the tail end of the faith chapter where the author shares with his audience, the faith of all those who have died before us and how great their faith is. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The resurrection is our hope. ~ Acts 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

Hebrews 11:39-40 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Resurrection of Lazarus Do you remember the story of Lazarus where he was raised from the dead?  Do you remember Yahushua telling his sister Martha that her brother would raise again from the dead?  What did she reply?  “I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”  She knew of the resurrection on the last day.  So did Job.  He also knew that it would be in the ‘latter day’ and even though his body would have been decayed by worms that he would be raised from the grave and see God in his own flesh.  ~ Job 19:25-27 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: {And…: or, After I shall awake, though this body be destroyed, yet out of my flesh} Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

When does the Bible say that the believer would be raised?  Let’s listen to Yahushua:  “No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” [John 6:44]

Who are you going to believe? The man or woman who teaches you that you will escape, or the very One who will be raising you from the grave?

Yes, some will still be alive when Yahushua returns to set up His government here on the earth and those who actually ‘do’ as He has commanded; will be changed in the twinkling of an eye.  However Paul taught that those who are changed in the twinkling of an eye will not meet Him until those who are dead in the grave; rise up to meet Him first.

1st Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed

1st Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Let’s look at some truth that Paul taught regarding those who have died knowing and believing in Christ, The Messiah.

Those who died believing in Him, will rise first ‘from the grave’ at the last trump sound. They will rise from the grave changed from corruptible to incorruptible.   Those who are still alive will be caught up together to meet Him, because their bodies will have become spirit bodies just like His because they will have already been changed in the twinkling of an eye.  Paul isn’t saying that we will be taken away. He is saying that we will be caught up to ‘meet’ Him.

Just as a side note, this whole vivid imagery reminds me of when I know I am expecting friends over for dinner, or my children are coming for a visit.  I am always waiting, very excited because I know that they are coming so I am watching out the window waiting for their arrival.  I hear the dogs bark and that’s my queue to run out and greet them and help them carry in either their gift portion to add to the meal if they are friends arriving for fellowship or if it’s family coming for a visit, I run out to help them carry in their luggage.

Keep in mind that Yahushua is coming here.  – For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout.  Why would we go ‘away’ from where He is if He is descending ‘from’ heaven to come here to the earth? The resurrection is just the beginning of that great day. As His faithful servants receive eternal life at the time of their resurrection, Yahushua will begin fulfilling His word to those who are faithful, that they will be co-rulers with Him. Yahushua promised:  “And he that overcometh, and keepeth My works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:” ~ Revelation 2:26.  We can’t possibly rule the nations with power from anywhere other than here on the earth where we are ‘with Christ’ where we will ever be with Him.

I think it is safe to say folks might just need to figure out what ‘His works’ are… and do them, ‘His way’. Countless people have died absolutely certain that the resurrection of Christ is an historical fact. Tradition says ten of the original apostles died as martyrs for Messiah, as did the Apostle Paul. Paul knew he was going to die because of his faith. Yahushua knew He was going to die too.  Down through the centuries, thousands more have died because they believed the resurrection is true. Even today, people suffer persecution because they have faith that Yahushua the Messiah rose from the dead. An isolated group may give up their lives for a cult leader, but Christian martyrs have died in many lands, for nearly 2,000 years, believing that Yahushua conquered death to give them eternal life.

Again I ask, what was the whole point of Yahushua being resurrected from the grave if it were not to show us that we too will be resurrected on the last day, just as He said?

Here is the clincher that will probably open your eyes and your heart to the truth more than anything, just as it did to me.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Resurrection 2 The first resurrection is the resurrection of the saints (the true followers of Yahushua the Messiah) that will take place during the second coming. The fact that “the second death has no power” over them means there is no possibility of dying again because they are immortal. They live for the thousand years and beyond into eternity. In order to be blessed and holy and lifted up in the ‘first resurrection’; become priests and reign with Him a thousand years, we obviously have to die either before the tribulation begins or die during the tribulation because we will not see the sign of the Son of Man in the air until “AFTER THE TRIBULATION” of those days. There is the chance that some will make it through the tribulation because it says that there are some which are alive and remain are caught up with those who are resurrected.

These thousand years is often referred to as the Millennium.  During this thousand year period everyone will learn to do things the way that Yahwey has always commanded and for many, this way will be the only way they will have ever known. But they too will one day be tested because after the thousand years, satan will be loosed for a little season.  The word “second” is not used in this verse, but the word “first” implies there will be at least one more resurrection—at least a second one.

Revelation 20: 7-9  And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Something else to keep in mind is that in the Bible, judgment does not just mean final sentencing and does not always mean condemnation. It can include an evaluation—a time to demonstrate our conversion.

siloam However, the key information in Revelation 20-7-9 is: ‘the number of whom is as the sand of the sea’.  Who are ‘them’ whose number is as the sand of the sea that will be gathered to battle?  Yahwey made a promise to Jacob that He will surely do him good, and make his seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude. There is a time coming called the time of Jacob’s trouble.

Before Jacob went out to meet his brother Esau, he wrestled with the angel and refused to let the angel go until he blessed him.  The ‘man’ (Or angel) blessed Jacob by changing his name to Israel and said to him that as a prince hast thou power with Yahwey and with men.  Just like Jacob, we will not go out to meet our Esau defenseless in our time of trouble. We have with-in our arsenal, not only the gift of the Spirit but we also have the armor of Yahwey. However, many of us will be delivered up to be afflicted, be killed and many also shall be hated of all nations for His name’s sake. Many shall be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. I will also mention that when a saint of Yahwey dies, this is a precious moment to Him.  ~ Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.

Here is something else that just might hit you in the gut. The scripture tells us that the entire Torah (Law) can be summarized by a single word.  That word is love.   So what happens if the Torah is disregarded? The answer is that it has already begun to happen.  Sin will abound and the love of many shall wax cold. ~ Matthew 24:12

What is sin?  1st John 3:4 ¶ Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

SIN IS:  a violation of the law.  [For sin is the transgression of ‘the law’] There is only and has always been only one law.

In order to be blessed enough to see His kingdom; we are to be ‘doing’ His commandments. ~ Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.  His works are what we are supposed to be doing.  One day soon, the books will be opened.  The dead; small and great will stand before Yahwey and we will all be judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to our works.

Where are these books?  I guarantee you that it isn’t just the Brit Chadashah {New Covenant or Testament} that we will be judged by.  There is more than just one book in the Bible that we hold in our hands. We also hold the Torah, the first five books of The Bible and this is where we find the ‘what’ that we are supposed to be doing. Don’t forget what Paul said, “Cursed is every one that continues not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.” In other words, we best be ‘doing’ what is written in the book of the law or we will find our self cursed. But it isn’t just that. We are to love our neighbor as our selves.

If our hope is to be resurrected into the first resurrection, we had better be about our Father’s business, doing all things which are written in the book of the law and we better be a shining example of those who follow in the very path and footsteps of Yahushua our brother Who has shown us that we can.  He is the One Who will raise us up on the last day to meet Him in the air. O what a glorious day that shall be when we rise up and meet Him as He comes to take over the reins of this world and rule the nations with His rod.

Now you understand why I am a believer in what many refer to as the Post Tribulation Rapture if ya really want to call the resurrection a rapture. Post means ‘after’ the tribulation. There isn’t really any truth in a pre or mid tribulation rapture. Actually I have always believed in the ‘Pan Theory’.  I believe it will all pan out exactly how it is described and written in the Bible.

Something that every single human being outta keep in mind is this:

“The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.  Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” ~Matthew13:41-43

WAKE UP!  Don’t be offensive and don’t be caught practicing lawlessness.  The devil has taught you wrong. Get your ears turned on to hear the truth and tune in to the right Spirit and not the spirit who is already deceiving the nations. The resurrection begins with waking up from unconsciousness to renewed life in the first resurrection and this will happen on the last day when Yahushua returns to re-establish the Kingdom of Yahwey on earth.
