I see great comparison’s to the stars and to us, His children in this verse: Isaiah 40:26
The New Living Translation say’s it this way:
Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.
It’s almost like God is the commanding General and He is bringing out His stars like an army of sorts and is reviewing them.
Every single star has it’s place and nothing is out of order. From day to day, He calls them to come forth and shine their light one by one, name by name as if He is counting them. They come forth and shine on His commanded word, obedient little stars that they are, they never fail to shine for Him.
The world began in total chaos, but God called the light out of the darkness and the light obeyed His word. Even amongst the stars in the heavens, not one of them fails to be in it’s appointed place.
In the King James version it says: He calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. This sounds like to me that He gives them names based on His own attributes; greatness, mighty, strong, etc. What ever; it certainly shows His infinite power and the evidence of proof in His magnificent power doesn’t it?
He is the Creator of all that exists and therefore He is our Host. We like the stars are His guest’s. Also like the stars, He has called us out to shine for Him and He knows us by name too.
Psalm 147:4 ~ He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
John 10:3 ~ To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
A prophecy for all of us:
Daniel 12:3 ~ And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
When we are wise by His grace and mercy, we shine our light leading many to God’s righteousness. We are radiantly beautiful in His sight.
