Romans 1:20~ Scriptural Thoughts by Eudora

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Even though creations testimony has been distorted by the fall of man, it still holds such beauty, sometimes beyond our own belief. What we don’t see, with our eyes is that God’s power and wisdom are revealed in natures beauty.

Just because we do not see His power holding it all together, does not mean it isn’t so. It’s like our brain, we can’t see our own brain when it makes a decision, but we know it does. Our conscience and intelligence have enabled us to see the power and the goodness of God because the universe contains an exhibition of His power.

We can plead innocence or even ignorance if we feel like it to make our claims that He did not create such beauty, but that doesn’t make it so. The earth and the heavenly bodies and the beauty of creation that our eyes can see are the effects which must be due to His eternal power and divinity.

We can not deny that nature speaks of it’s God and Creator, yet the power upon which it all depends is never seen, only realized through our vision and observation and through it, we see His incredible eternal power. He is the author and first cause of all life created.

Nature shows us that God is a God of beauty, creativity, a God of order and One who shows us such intricate detail and that He controls powerful forces, such as the water in this photo.

O what a wonderful God we worship that would supply such a beautiful place for His people to live and inhabit and to raise their children to fulfill His purpose of bringing all things back into their first order, the redemption of all things created.
