2nd Corinthians 5:7-9 ~ Scripture Thoughts by Eudora

7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with יהוה.

9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

Of course we would all ‘rather’ be present with the Lord but we cannot be with Him until the resurrection. Not the rapture {which is a false teaching} , but the resurrection when those who have died believing in Christ are raised from the dead at His coming.

Some folks have been wrongly taught that when we die, we go to heaven. That is not true at all. Scripture does however reveal that our soul goes to be with Yahwey. Look that word up… soul is breath. Of course our breath goes to Him because He gave breath to us when we were first born.

On the day that The Spirt came to earth in chapter two of Acts, Peter who was filled with the Spirt said I think twice, that even King David was still in the grave.

This was the fella that Yah said was after His heart. That convinces me that if David, who was after the heart of Elohim isn’t in the kingdom of heaven, then someone has been teaching us lies. I believe Peter.

Also to further clinch the truth, Paul said that Yahushua is the first fruit. That means no one else is there in the kingdom of heaven except He Who sits on the throne and Yahushua Who sits at the right hand of the throne.
