Remembering Thomas Bates
Greetings Bruce and Debra,
Ever since I became filled with the spirit of our Beloved, I can’t seem to see the since in sympathy cards at the loss of our loved ones while we are in the interim awaiting the return of our Beloved. Many people do not have the comfort of knowing a Holy God like our Elohim nor do they understand the truth of what is about to explode upon this world once the end of life on planet earth ‘as we know it’ breaks way yielding to the Kingdom of Yah.
There will no doubt be times of loneliness in the absence of Thomas but I pray that Yah open up the joyful memories to flood over those moments. Once the memories begin to come in, they are what sustain us in our sadness and grief at the un-bearable pain of just missing our loved ones. Yet still, we know that this is but a fleeting moment and we overcome at some point. I pray that this point comes speedily for all of you and that the waves of rejoicing move swiftly to encourage you during those moments of sadness.
A son is such a joy and your Thomas was filled with a gentile loving and kind spirit. I always saw such tenderness in his smile and felt the warmth of his heart in just those few brief times that I was in his presence. What a beautiful replica of the love that the both of you share, completed in your son. Sounds familiar huh? But praise Yah, He be glorified; Thomas will no doubt rise up to greet us all, those who remain.
So rather than send a sympathy card and tell you how sorry I am, I just want to encourage you with much love and prayers as you begin in these next few days, months and then years should the LORD tarry, that you will endure without Thomas in the flesh. But know this… the day is coming, that glorious day when we shall be reunited with those we love and not only will we see eternity future but eternity past and we will all know and understand and will rejoice.
Re 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Psalm 50:1-6 ¶ The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined. Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.
